What Are The Steps Involved In Bailing Someone Out Of Jail

Blog

If a loved one has called you and told you that they have been arrested, you may go to a bail bonds company hoping to get your loved one out of jail. However, for many people, posting bail is not something that they have ever done before. As such, they may have no idea what to expect or what the steps are in the process of getting someone out on bail. Read along to learn more about the process of using a bail bonds company to bail a loved one out of jail.

Step 1: Locating Your Loved One and Determining Their Bail Amount

The first step that happens when you are using a bail bonds company to post bail is for the bail bonds company to locate your loved one and to see how much their bail has been set. Bring along identifying information, such as your loved one's full legal name, date of birth, and where they were arrested to help the bail bonds company locate your loved one. If bail has not yet been set, a bail bonds company cannot help you yet.

Step 2: Filling Out Paperwork

Once the bail bonds company has determined that your loved one is eligible for bail, they will tell you how much a bail bond will cost. If you agree to move forward, they will ask you to fill out paperwork. This paperwork will include information about both you and the individual being bailed out of jail. Bring along information such as your employer's name, their employer's name, and your personal information, such as names, addresses, phone numbers, and dates of birth.

Step 3: Posting Bail

Once you have filled out the paperwork and paid the fee, the bail bonds company will post bail on behalf of your loved one. This may be done electronically or they may need to visit the jail or courthouse to post bail. Once bail has been posted, the jail goes through the inmate release process. This can take several hours, and the bail bonds company has no control over this.

Step 4: Completing the Paperwork

Once your loved one is released from jail, the bail bonds company will likely ask them to come into the bail business and finish filling out paperwork, including signing a document that states they agree to show up for all court hearings or they can be remanded back into custody by the bail bonds company. They may also take a picture of your loved one for their records.

A bail bonds company can help you to get your loved one out of jail, as long as bail has already been set. If you have a loved one who has been arrested, reach out to a bail bonds company to find out if bail has been set, and if it has, work with them on helping to get your loved one released from jail.

launguage used in financing contracts

My son is a very active little boy. I love the fact that he always wants to be outside running around and climbing on things, but was unhappy with the choices that he was making on what to climb on and where to run around. Because of this, I started looking into getting some money together to build him safe place to burn off all of his energy outside. Before I decided on any financing option, I took some time to learn about the language used in financing contracts so that I would not end up making a big mistake. Visit through my blog to learn about financing contract language to help protect yourself from poor financing decisions.
